I am a farmer. English Bulldogs have three, two females and one male. The same thing happened to someone who had bought a puppy from me. They left him on the couch and decide to jump. Sore hip and has the same operation. The couple gave me pictures and videos later and said he had a slight limp, but sometimes normal walking. Because your Bulldog is, I would ask your vet, but in terms of injuries, not bad.
