I attended college in Florida. After years of suffering in the housing complex, where there is no privacy, my best friends and I decided to rent a house. 3room/2bath is a house rented by an agency, and I've never been the hostess.
My third roommate decided that "could not afford" (which also has a new friend shes dying to live with it) the house and is now trying to break the lease anyway possible. I'm no lawyer, but I'll do my best to not get screwed too. She thinks she can find someone accidentally craigslist, away from, and replace his name with his name on our lease. I'm not sure this is illegal, but I'm not correct, because the three of us signed the treaty itself (they were), not individuals. If you do not find someone and not paid, the financial burden for me. Our landlord told me that if that happened, because his name on the lease, which the Small Claims Court for money could cause.

I am sharing a home with someone from craigslist, privacy, or even to the door lock themselves fear. The other roommate and I are very serious about school and do not want a party animal or a drug addict! Any help is greatly appreciated

Yes, you have the right "to sell" in the interest, a lease to another person. So you can find someone else.
There are 2 traps. The "assignee" (the new roommate) May is unacceptable to the owner, could open a number of problems. Which is usually caused by an extra car to be parked, or a new pet.
And if the new tenant does not pay, the 3-roommate is legally responsible (unless issued in writing by the owner, and you've already said, it is always useful).
Rent in all future contracts, the house itself and reserves the right to find housemates. Then you do not have to worry if people come and go. You must keep the safety of their deposits and not the owner (who is already down payment).
